Did you know that October is Down Syndrome Awareness/Advocacy month?
To celebrate, DSDN will be highlighting an important piece of our mission- supporting families and medical providers through the diagnosis conversation. All throughout October visit our website and watch on social media as we share #DearDoctor letters from families to their physicians about how receiving their child's diagnosis impacted their lives. The purpose of this campaign is to raise awareness about the nationally recognized guidelines that are in place on how to deliver a Down syndrome diagnosis, but are not always followed.
Have a story you would like to share? Email DSDN Communication Director, Jillian at for more information and be sure to check out our blog this month as we highlight YOUR stories.
