Facebook Moderator 

DSDN is seeking additional members of our support team. This is a volunteer position responsible for moderating one (or more) of our DSDN Facebook pages. Our support team is the lifeline of our mission to inform, connect and support new families with a Down syndrome diagnosis as we connect regularly with members. Once selected to be a moderator, you will be trained and have ongoing support to manage your Facebook group(s).  (Aprox. 2 hrs/wk)

Duties include:​

  • Participating frequently in our online groups to:​

    • Keep the board active so that parents know this is place they can come and get support, feedback, responses.

    • Remember that a parent’s journey is not exactly like any other parent’s journey.  The road to acceptance and moving forward can be long and twisted. We must meet them where they are.

    • Know our role is to facilitate and generate conversations.

  • Report to the Director of Support
